FAQ

Before you start

Still unsure?

What languages does your team support?

Our team offers support in English and Portuguese. The client area is currently in Portuguese; our team can help you in English along the way.

Do I need to live in the US to open a company?

No. People living outside the US can open a US LLC or C-Corp.

Is the state fee included in the price?

Yes. The total already includes the state filing fee. We show both parts, the Atlas fee and the state fee, so you see where each dollar goes.

What is included and what is not?

Included in the formation: state filing, EIN request, the standard Operating Agreement (LLC) or Bylaws (C-Corp) template and the first-year registered agent. Not included: domain, e-mail, phone or website; bank account; accounting and IRS filings; state annual fees and registered agent from the second year.

How do I order?

Wyoming LLC and Delaware C-Corp: online, in the client area. You create the account, fill in the details, review the data and the amounts, and only then pay. Florida LLC: with our team on WhatsApp.

How long does it take?

It depends on the state and the IRS, and no timeline is guaranteed. The filing goes to the state after the order is accepted by the filing partner. Without an SSN, the EIN is requested from the IRS by fax or mail: the IRS indicates about 4 business days by fax and about 4 weeks by mail.

Do I need an SSN?

Not to open the company. The company's EIN can be obtained without an SSN. Some personal uses may require an ITIN, which is issued by the IRS.

Do you open bank accounts?

We guide you on banks and fintechs, but account approval always depends on the institution.

Is Atlas a law or accounting firm?

No. Global Atlas is a business services company and does not provide legal, tax or immigration advice. Regulated services, such as accounting, are handled by licensed professionals.

Do you handle visas or immigration?

No. Atlas handles the business side. Visa questions should be handled by an immigration lawyer.

Is Atlas affiliated with the US government?

No. Global Atlas is a private company with no affiliation with the US federal or state governments. The state fee included in the price is paid to the state at filing.
